SUMMARY:Beaver Dam Analog (BDA) Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Come learn more about beaver dam analogs and process-based restoration on the Central Coast! \nThis day-long workshop will be an educational and interactive experience into process-based restoration techniques\, geared for agencies\, local non-profits and community members.  This will be a hands-on introduction into the “how and why” of beaver dam analogs on the Central Coast. \nWhat To Expect: \n\nPresentations on process-based restoration (PBR)\, including permitting pathways\nGuided tour of an active restoration site on Walters Creek\nHands-on building and maintenance of beaver dam analogs and head cut erosion treatments\n\nParticipants will leave with a better understanding of what it takes to implement process-based restoration projects and the benefits of using this restoration method.  Heavy rain will cancel the hands-on portion of the workshop. \nThis workshop is held by San Luis Obispo Beaver Brigade and Nature’s Engineers. Funding for this project has been provided in part by the Morro Bay National Estuary Program. \n
