We held our third annual Beaver Festival on April 12, 2025, and thanks to all of you it was a huge success, doubling last year’s attendance with over 3000 people in attendance !

Our focus on this year’s festival was on the restoration techniques to improve the health of our watershed:
1. Adding a beaver to your watershed and how to do that with CDFW Beaver Restoration Supervisor, Molly Alves
2. Using prescribed burning to improve the health of your watershed, by Sophia Marquez of San Luis Obispo Prescribed Burn Association
3. Regenerative ranching with Grant Johnson, Grant Johnson Ag.
4. Process-based restoration techniques (including mimicking beavers!) with Cooper Lienhart of Nature’s Engineers.
