We have three different monitoring programs:
River Surveys • Beaver Dam Monitoring Program
Ríos Bebibles Youth Summer Program
River Surveys
As of 2025, our team began conducting river surveys of the Upper Salinas River. Each survey monitors for beaver activity, select invasive species, and off-highway vehicle (OHV) trails. These surveys inform us on areas in need of restoration and protection of beaver habitat.

Beaver Dam Monitoring Program
With the help of our incredible team of volunteers, we perform ongoing monitoring of beaver dams on the Salinas River and Pismo Creek. The goal of this program is to monitor the health of the beaver population.

Ríos Bebibles Youth Summer Program
In the Summer of 2025, we launched our inaugural Ríos Bebibles youth summer program. Ríos Bebibles, which means “Drinkable Rivers” in Spanish, engaged Paso Robles youth ages 16-20 in water quality testing and cultural and ecological education on the Salinas River.
