What an incredible event!

Even after the morning setup started out wet, over 3500 people joined us at the San Luis Obispo Mission Plaza to celebrate the beavers and almost the entire restoration community on April 11, 2026. It was such a treat to host Pamela Adams, the freelance beaver detective from Seattle, Washington, to share stories of her experiences with beavers and salmon in the Pacific Northwest. If you didn’t get to hear her speak, you are in luck because we recorded it!

Some of my favorite highlights included…
Our Speakers:
The Salinan Tribe
Shaunie Briggs, Jessica Rodgers, and visiting from Indian Canyon Nation, Kanyon CoyoteWoman, to open things up for us.

Audrey Taub

Freddy Otte

Cooper Lienhart

Cuyama Mama and the Hot Flashes
Some good, positive, vibe-lifting music to get us all in that celebratory place.
