We work to educate folks around beavers in San Luis Obispo County and the work they do to replenish our groundwater, provide fire refugia, and increase the quality and quantity of water in our creeks and rivers.
Our Education Programs:
Watery Walks • Field Trips • Presentations • Tabling

Watery Walks
We offer free educational tours of beaver habitat on the Salinas River in Atascadero. Wheelchair accessible tours are also available on Pismo Creek in Pismo Beach. Tours are open to all ages. We also offer field trips to school groups.

Field Trips
Our Watery Walk field trips are a fun, engaging, and memorable way for students to learn about rivers, ecology, beavers, and more. We recommend this field trip for 4th grade and older, but it can absolutely be adapted for younger learners.
Please contact us at info@slobeaverbrigade.com to inquire about field trips.

Presentations
We deliver presentations to educate groups about a wide variety of beaver-related topics, including the ecological benefits of beavers, tools for beaver coexistence, and relocation and restoration efforts.
