Join us for a day of activities on Sunday, August 9th, 12-3pm at the Lake Lopez Nature Center with active hands-on games and nature-inspired art activities. This is one day of a three-part “Little Naturalist” series put on by the SLO County Dept. of Parks and Recreation DEER (Discovering the Environment through Education and Recreation) Program; the Beaver Brigade will be leading an hour-long activity to teach about beavers and their role as a keystone species and as ecosystem engineers.

Little Naturalist days will be held 12-3pm on July 26th, August 9th and 16th. The event is free and open to families that are looking to bring some nature connection to their children’s summer schedule! Contact Christina Hardridge (slocountydeer@gmail.com) for more information.
